Welcome to 'Getting Technical with ASA'
Here, we will present the technical side of our endeavors. These pages are intended to teach the
basic fundamentals of rocket and subsystem design in an easy-to-understand
manner. You will find theories,
issues, and design compromises, but not many equations or physical features
of the ASA vehicles. This is
intentional—ASA wants to be a source of information and problem
solving, not a “cookbook” of rocket design. We hope the first editions of
“Getting Technical with ASA” will show you how we have answered
the basic rocket design questions of our test rockets; future editions of
these web pages will delve more deeply into the detailed design problems
and solutions of our larger vehicles.
