Good news on the rocket motor injector - a local company (name withheld) has offered to machine the injector for ASA! This is yet another significant donation to ASA and to the ASE program. After this initial machining, two other manufacturing steps (EDM'ing and precise welding) need to be accomplished before the injector is complete.

Through their generous donation, Diversified Plant Serives will be manufacturing two propellant tanks towards this program. Specifically, they are creating two 2.5 ft^2 tanks, one carbon steel and one stainless steel. These tanks will be used for the two test firings this year, and for many test firings in the future. Thank you to DPS for their generous donation.

The propulsion team will be creating a 2000 pound thrust rocket motor, fueled by liquid oxygen and AVGAS (aviation gasoline) with a specific impulse of 225 seconds. This is a CAD drawing of the preliminary motor:
